Dust Devil
Two paragliders go missing after being caught up in a Dust Devil in rural NSW.
A prisoner on day release from Cessnock Correctional Centre disappears from his sister’s
house in Newcastle.
DCI Frank Bailey and DI Rachel Sharp were part of the team which led to the arrest and conviction of the missing prisoner some years prior. When they open an investigation, they find links to both disappearances with a religious community based on a large property called Babylon. Frank suspects they will find all the answers at Babylon but his superiors disagree. He needs evidence. Even the deaths of two men linked to his investigation is insufficient to grant him access to Babylon to question those who live there. After all they are just a large group of like-minded people with no record of any issues who live a largely self-sufficient lifestyle in the outback. Or are they?
